Opening ceremony of FDS 2010 was held at 10:00 am Saturday, 19 June 2010, in Kalkhote, Asei, Sentani Timur, Jayapura Regency, Papua.
Begin with beating "The TIFA" by the Regents of Jayapura, Habel Melkias Suwae, S.Sos, MM, accompanied by Princess of Indonesia Tourism 2010, Representative of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Republic of Indonesia, Chairman of Commission X DPR RI, Assistant I Regional Secretary of Papua, Head of Culture, arts and tourism of Jayapura and Chairman of FDS 2010 committee.

At festival performances of Lake Sentani 2010, Yoboi villages displays of traditional dance attractions of living crocodiles. Crocodiles will be taken from Yoboi Village by boat, bound on the wood and then ride by Yoboi village chiefs, accompanied by traditional dances drums and flutes drums "Suling tambur".
